Upper Sileru Project Power House

Upper Sileru Hydro Power Plant has an approved capacity of 240 Megawatt and the installed capacity is also 240 Megawatt. The status of power plant is operational. The source of water for the generation of power in the hydroelectric power station is Godavari. The basin is Godavari and the hydroelectric basin is East flowing rivers. The construction of the plant is completed in 1995. The owner and operator of the power station is Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited.

The beneficiary states of the Upper Sileru hydro power plant are Andhra Pradesh and its nearby States.The total number of Turbines used in the power plant is four. The turbine type is Francis. The Turbine Manufacturer for the Stage 1 of Power Plant is Charmillies of Switzerland and the turbine manufacturer for the Stage 2 is Bharat Heavy Electricals limited.
