The beneficiary state of this thermal power plant is Maharashtra and its neighbouring states. The unit size of this thermal power plant is 150 Megawatt (Unit 1 to Unit 4), 500 Megawatt x 2 units, 180 Megawatt x 1 unit, and 250 Megawatt x 1 unit. The first four units are decommissioned and the remaining four units are commissioned. So there are four units in Operation.
The Unit 1 to Unit 4 has a combined installation capacity of 150 Megawatt, which is using Oil as primary fuel. But those Units are now decommissioned. The Unit 5 is commissioned with an installed capacity of 500 Megawatt that is using Coal as Primary fuel. After that the Unit 6 is commissioned with an installed capacity of 500 Megawatt that is using Oil as primary fuel. The Unit 7 is commissioned with an installed capacity of 180 Megawatt that is using Gas as primary fuel.
