Teesta Canal Fall Hydel Project

Teesta Canal Fall Hydel Project is erected in the Teesta Canal of West Bengal in India. The power project was commissioned in 1997. The total installed capacity of the power plant is 67.5 MW. The type of hydroelectric project is Major as its capacity is greater than 25 MW. The type of plant is Weir on a Canal having three power houses on the Mahananda Canal. The hydroelectric project status is completed and is operational. The source of water for the generation of power is Mahananda Main Canal. The total number of turbines in the power house is nine and capacity per turbine is 7.5 MW. The unit size of the plant is 67.5 MW having nine units of 7.5 MW each. There are nine units in the plant and all are commissioned.
