Sikka Thermal Power Station

Sikka Thermal Power Station is a 500 Megawatt Coal Plant located in the Sikka Village of Jamnagar district of Gujarat in India. The power station is possessed by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation. The first unit and second unit with 120 Megawatt each were commissioned in March 1988 and March 1993 respectively. The power station is situated at Sikka near to the Jamnagar city, which is the leading industrial city in the state of Gujarat, India.

Sikka Thermal Power Station is commissioned in March 1988 with an approved capacity of 500 Megawatt. The installed capacity is also 500 Megawatt. The first and second units of plant is retired, whereas the third and fourth units are Operational. The primary fuel used for the generation of power is Coal. The type of this thermal power plant is Subcritical. Sikka Thermal Power Station is owned and operated by the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited. The third and fourth units are commissioned in March 2015 and September 2015 respectively with an installed capacity of 250 Megawatt.
