Thermal Power Stations
Satpura Thermal Power Station:
Satpura Thermal Power Station has a total installed capacity of 1330 Megawatt. There are six units in operation. All the six units are functional with first unit has an installed capacity of 200 MW, the second to fourth units have 210 MW each and fifth to sixth units have an installed capacity of 250 MW each.
Amarkantak Thermal Power Station:
Amarkantak Thermal Power Station has only 1 unit and the installed capacity of that power plant is 210 MW. The unit is Operational.
Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station:
Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station has an entire plant capacity of 1340 Megawatt. The power plant has 5 units in operational. The first four units have an installed capacity of 210 MW each and the fifth unit has an installed capacity of 500 Megawatt.
Shree Singaji Thermal Power Station
Shree Singaji Thermal Power Station has a total installed capacity of 2520 Megawatt. The Power Plant has four units and they are from first to fourth. The first two units have an installed capacity of 600 MW each, similarly for third and fourth units, the installed capacity is 660 MW each. The first two units are functional and the third and fourth units are under construction.
Dada Dhuniwale Thermal Power Plant
Dada Dhuniwale Thermal Power Plant has an entire capacity of 1600 Megawatt. The two units have a proposed capacity of 800 Megawatt each. The venture is yet to start due to non-availability of coal linkage.
Hydro Power Stations
Gandhi Sagar
Gandhi Sagar Hydro Power Station is erected in the Chambal river of Mandsaur district. It has a total installed capacity of 115 Megawatt. There are five units in Operation, with each units has an installed capacity of 23 MW each. The Hydro Power plant is commissioned in 19 November 1960.
Pench Hydro Power Station is located in the Pench river of Nagpur District. It has an entire installed capacity of 160 Megawatt. There are two units in operation, with each units has an installed capacity of 80 Megawatt each. The power plant was commissioned in 09 September 1986.
Rani Awanti Bai Bargi Power Station is erected in the Narmada River in Bargi of Jabalpur District. It has an installed capacity of 90 Megawatt and the first unit was commissioned in 03 June 1988.
Bansagar Tons Power Station is erected in the Beehar River of Sirmour town in Rewa District. It has an installed capacity of 315 Megawatt and it is commissioned in 27 September 1991.
Birsinghpur Thermal Power Station is erected in Johila river of Birsinghpur in Umariya District. The power plant has an entire capacity of 20 Megawatt and it was commissioned in 01 November 1991.
Rajghat Thermal Power Station is erected in the Betwa river of Rajghat in Ashok nagar district. It has an entire power capacity of 45 MW with 3 units. The power plant is commissioned in 15 October 1999.
Ban Sagar II Silpara
Ban Sagar II is located in Silpara of Rewa district. The power installed in the plant is 30 Megawatts with two units and is commissioned in 28 August 2002.
Bansagar III Deolond
Bansagar III is erected in Sone River of Deolond in the Shahdol district. The installed capacity of the power plant is 60 Megawatt (3 units of 20 MW each). The power plant is commissioned in 18 July 2001.
Bansagar IV Jhinna
Bansagar IV is erected in Jhinna Dyke river of Satna District. The total installed capacity is 20 Megawatt. The power plant is commissioned in 20 August 2006.
Madhikheda Power Station is erected in the Kalisindh river of Madhikheda in Shivpuri district. The power plant has an installed capacity of 60 Megawatt (3 units of 20 MW each). The power plant is commissioned in 28 August 2006.
