JSW Barmer Power Station

JSW Barmer Power Station is a coal fired thermal power plant erected in the Bhadresh village of Barmer district in Rajasthan. The power plant is run and functioned by the JSW Energy Limited. It has a total installed capacity of 1080 Megawatt. The plant became fully operational in 2013.

JSW Barmer Power Station is commissioned in 2009 November. The approved capacity of the thermal power plant is 1080 Megawatt and the installed capacity of the thermal power plant is also 1080 Megawatt. The status of the thermal power plant is Operational. The source of coal for the generation of power is Kapurdi and Jalipa mines. The water for the thermal power plant is sourced from Indira Gandhi Canal by constructing a 185 km pipeline. The fifth unit is commissioned in 2013 February with an installed capacity of 135 Megawatt. The sixth unit is commissioned in 2013 March with an installed capacity of 135 Megawatt. The seventh unit is commissioned also in 2013 March with an installed capacity of 135 Megawatt. Finally the eighth unit is commissioned in 2013 February with an installed capacity of 135 Megawatt.
