Damodar Valley Corporation Hydroelectric Project

DVC Hydroelectric Project is erected in three Dams across two states, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The dams are Maithon, Panchet Hill and Tilaiya. So the total installed capacity of the power project across the three power houses are 147.2 MW. The type of project is Major and the project status is completed. The structure type of power project is Dam and is a Storage type. The status of the power houses are Operational. The type of all the three dams is Earthen and the Dams are mainly used for hydroelectric power generation and Water Supply for Domestic purposes.
