Bhilai Steel power Project is a planned 1000 Megawatt coal fuelled power venture by National Thermal Power Corporation Limited – Steel Authority of India Limited Power Company at Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. The firm received a Terms of Reference in 2011 for a 4 units of 250 Megawatt coal-fuelled development. The fourth unit is commissioned in 2009 with an installed capacity of 250 Megawatt. The fifth unit is also commissioned in 2009 with an installed capacity of 250 Megawatt.
